Explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Kumasi, Ghana’s second-largest city and the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom.Visit either Bonwire Kente Village or Adanwomase Kente Village to learn, from scratch, how the iconic Kente cloth is woven. Head to Ntonso Adinkra Village, the only place in Ghana where traditional adinkra is made entirely by hand. Create your own banners or clothing stamped with meaningful adinkra symbols.

Discover the Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, a sacred landmark marking the birth of the Ashanti Kingdom. Tour Fort Kumasi, Ghana’s only inland fort, once a colonial military garrison. Briefly explore the bustling Kejetia Market, one of the largest open-air markets in West Africa.Visit the Center for National Culture, where artisans produce handmade crafts.  Step into the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum to view historic artifacts that showcase Ashanti heritage. Conclude at the majestic Manhyia Palace, home of the Ashanti King and the seat of the Asante people.
